Nighttime “Z-A Royale” Competition Revealed in New “Legends: Z-A” Trailer

A new trailer for Legends: Z-A just premiered during today’s Nintendo Direct!

The game introduces an exciting nighttime event called the Z-A Royale, a high-stakes competition where Trainers battle in a special city battle zone.

Pokémon’s official press release details:

At night, a holographic battle zone with glowing red borders appears somewhere in Lumiose City. Trainers compete from dusk till dawn, starting at Rank Z and fighting their way up to Rank A. Only the strongest will claim the top spot, and those who reach Rank A may even have an in-game wish granted. Along the way, players will face formidable rivals like Urbain or Taunie, who will put their skills to the test.

During the day, Trainers can explore wild zones, catching and training Pokémon to prepare for the night’s intense battles. While the Z-A Royale is active, strategy is crucial—landing surprise attacks can provide an advantage, while escaping stronger opponents may be necessary. To dominate the competition, players must master both daytime exploration and nighttime battles in Lumiose City.
