Embark on an Unforgettable Adventure with the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together Expansion
Celebrate the incredible bond between Pokémon and their Trainers in Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together. As the name suggests, this expansion highlights dynamic duos—beloved Trainers like Team Plasma’s N and Levincia City Gym Leader Iono—battling side by side with their powerful Pokémon. Featuring stunning artwork, strategic Trainer cards, and mighty Pokémon ex, this set is packed with thrilling possibilities. Ready to dive in? Here's a sneak peek at some of the standout cards you’ll encounter when the expansion launches on March 28, 2025.
N’s Castle + N’s Zoroark ex
The iconic Unova Trainer N is back, bringing clever strategies and tricky plays. N’s Castle, a Stadium card, creates the perfect battlefield for N’s Pokémon—allowing all of them, including your opponent’s, to retreat for free. True to its lore, N’s Castle serves as a safe haven where N’s Pokémon can regroup.
The synergy really shines when paired with N’s Zoroark ex. With a solid 280 HP, this trickster fox also boasts a powerful Ability that lets you discard a card to draw two—evoking memories of the fan-favorite Zoroark-GX from Shining Legends. But the real showstopper is Zoroark ex’s Night Joker attack, which costs just two Darkness Energy and lets you copy any attack from one of your Benched N’s Pokémon—without worrying about Energy costs. While giving up two Prize cards if Zoroark ex is Knocked Out is a risk, N’s Castle helps mitigate that by making retreat effortless and keeping Zoroark safe when needed.
N’s Reshiram
Fans of N will be thrilled to see N’s Reshiram blazing onto the scene—both literally and artistically. Illustrated by rika, Reshiram is depicted in full Overdrive mode, surrounded by roaring flames, with N smirking confidently in the corner.
Reshiram’s Powerful Rage attack is aptly named: for just two Energy, it deals 20 damage for every damage counter on Reshiram. Withstanding up to 12 counters, this attack can unleash up to a whopping 240 damage—an incredible payoff for such low Energy. Fans may recognize echoes of Reshiram’s Outrage attack from the Black & White expansion, making this card a nostalgic powerhouse.
Iono’s Bellibolt ex
N isn’t the only Trainer making waves. Levincia’s charismatic Gym Leader Iono charges into battle with her partner Pokémon, Bellibolt ex. Known for her high-voltage streaming, Iono’s card is just as electric.
Iono’s Bellibolt ex features the Electric Streamer Ability, letting you attach a Basic Lightning Energy from your hand to one of your Iono’s Pokémon as often as you like—keeping your team charged and ready. Its Thunderous Bolt attack delivers a massive 230 damage, enough to take down even other Pokémon ex, though it requires three Lightning and one Colorless Energy to power up. Illustrated by 5ban Graphics, Bellibolt ex is a vibrant, jolly figure, with Iono flashing her signature feral grin in the background. As with all Pokémon ex, the risk is real—once it falls, your opponent claims two Prize cards.
Furret
Sometimes it’s the simple cards that leave the biggest impression. Illustrated by REND, grand prize winner of the 2022 Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest, Furret is brought to life with breathtaking, hyperrealistic detail. You can practically feel the sun’s warmth and Furret’s soft fur just by looking at it.
In battle, Furret offers two attacks: Scratch (40 damage for 1 Colorless Energy) and Jet Headbutt (70 damage for 2 Colorless Energy). While not a heavy hitter like the ex Pokémon, Furret’s stunning art ensures it’s a card worth adding to your collection.
Redeemable Ticket
No one likes seeing their key card locked away in their Prize cards. Enter the Redeemable Ticket, a Trainer card designed to turn the tide. This clever card lets you reshuffle your Prizes to the bottom of your deck and draw fresh ones from the top—perfect for retrieving that one card your strategy hinges on. Just make sure you’ve scouted your deck first, which other Trainer cards can easily help with.
These highlights are just a glimpse of what awaits in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together expansion. Explore even more thrilling cards, unforgettable artwork, and strategic possibilities when the set officially releases March 28, 2025.
